Council Minutes of 6/16/92 <br />Finance Director Burns reported: 1) Work has begun on the 1993 tax budget, and <br />it should be ready for presentation to Council prior to the next meeting. This <br />budget must be filed with the County by July 20. <br />Mrs. Beringer, Chairperson of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee, <br />reported: 1) The BZD Committee met on June i0. In attendance were committee <br />members Lind, Nashar, Beringer; Building Commissioner Conway; Assistant Engineer <br />McDermott; Councilmen Leonard and Musial. Agenda items were as follows: <br />a. Proposal to construct a 2,000 square foot storage building at the rear of <br />Barlo Plaza, 30572 Lorain Road. Bob Acciarri, architect, and owners, Mr. and <br />Mrs. Hayden, presented the proposal which had been approved by ARB on April 22 <br />and Planning Commission on May 4. The committee had no objections; however, the <br />engineering site plans must be submutted and approved. Mrs. Beringer moved to <br />approve the proposal with the rec Lions of the ARB, Planning Commission, <br />and BZD Committee; second by Mr. Nashar. Roll call: Beringer, yes; Nashar, yes; <br />Musial, abstain; McKay, yes; Lind, yes; Leonard, yes; Bahas, yes. Motion passed <br />with 6 affirmative votes and 1 abstention. <br />b. Proposal to construct two restaurants, Chili's and Romano's Macaroni Grill, <br />on Sublot 1 of Parcel B, the south side of Country Club Blvd. and the east side <br />of Great Northern Blvd. In attendance were Mr. Larson, architect, and Jerry <br />Gould, Jeff Smith and George Papandreas representing the owners. The proposal <br />was approved by ARB on April 22 and Plarmng Commussion on May 26. The owners <br />have agreed to reposition the restaurants; and, after reviewing all the detailed <br />development plans, the committee had no objections except that the engineering <br />plans must be submitted. Mrs. Beringer moved to approve the construction of <br />Chili's Restaurant and Romano's Macaroni Grill with the recommendations of ARB, <br />Planning Commission and the BZD Committee; second by Mr. Lind; motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />c. Resolution No. 92-63, which is on second reading, was discussed by the <br />committee. This legislation accepts for recording purpose only the resubdivision <br />of IA, IB and IC of the Developers Diversified and W. and Z. Properties resub- <br />division plat, Volwne 257, Page 2 of the Recorder's office. 'This is the Moen <br />site. The subdivision will be accepted with a proposed dedicated road. The <br />developer will pay for construction of the road according to city specifications. <br />The committee had rso objection to the plan. Mrs. Beringer moved for approval of <br />the plan; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed l~nanimously. <br />d. Water main easement for Sublot 22 of Sandpiper Lane in the Pebblebrook <br />subdivision to accommodate the View Point development. The committee had no <br />objections, and legislation will be forthcoming. Mrs. Beringer moved to approve <br />the water main easement through Sublot 22 of Sandpiper Lane; second by Mr. Lind; <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />2. The next Building, Zoning and Development Committee meeting will be held at <br />7:30 p.m. on June 30. <br />Mr. McKay, Chairperson of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee, <br />reported: 1) The committee met on Wednesday, June 10.
