Council Minutes of 5/5/92 <br />LEGISLATION (continued.) <br />Or ce No. - was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind, An <br />ordinance amending Section 4 of Ordn~arice No. 92-29 providing for the issuance aru3. <br />sale of $1,400,000 notes, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose <br />of improving Silverdale Road, Selhurst Road, ark Duane Road by grading, draining, <br />curbing, reconstructing the pavement base, widening, preparing the surface aril <br />paving with concrete, reconstructing storm sewers, sanitary sewers, water mains arxi <br />driveway aprons where necessary,. constructing sidewalks anci installing above- <br />ground wires and cables for strut lighting, together with tY~ necessary appurten- <br />ances and work incidental thereto, anti declaring an emergency. Mr. Lind moved to <br />suspend the rules requiring .three resciings and committee review; second by Mrs. <br />Beringer; motion passed unani.u~nxsly. Mr. Lin~ii.moved for adoption; second by Mrs. <br />Saririger; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 92-48 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 92-49 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Lind. An <br />ordinance amending Section 4 of Ordinance No. 92-30 providing far the i.$suance and <br />sale of $2,000,000 rues, in anticipation of the issuance of bnr~cis, for the purpose <br />of improving the municipal sanitary sewer system by rehabilitating and replacing <br />sanitary sewers and. sanitary sewer connections, together with the necessary appur- <br />tenances, aril work incidental thereto, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Lind moved <br />for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and conittee review; secorxl <br />by Mrs. Beringer; motion passed unanimously. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second <br />by Mrs. Beringer; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 92-49 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 92-50 was introduced arr3 placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. A <br />resolution opposing a proposal by the Regional Transit Authority to eli,mi,nate <br />certain NOMBL-operated bus service routes through North Olmstuci acid surrounding <br />suburban ccxttmuiities, aril declaring an emergency. Mrs. Beringer moved to suspend <br />the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mrs. Babas; <br />motion passed unanimously. Mrs. Beringer moved for adopti©n; second by Mrs. Babas; <br />motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 92-50 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 92-51 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Leonard. A <br />resolution recognizing May 7, 1992 as a National Day of Prayer. Mr. Leonard moved <br />for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and cci.ttee review; second <br />by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unani.~run~sly. Mr. Leonard moved. for adoption; second <br />by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 92-51 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 92-52 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. An <br />ordinance establishing a residential property reduced interest rate loan program <br />for residential real property improvements in the City of North Olmsted, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Miscellaneous Business <br />Mr. McKay soh ' a Safety Gommittee meetingfor Tuesday, May 12, at 7:30 p.m. <br />Safety Director Gundy will be asked to attend.
