Since there will not be enough property left for develolxnent of any kind behind Pheasant Walk and Hampton Dr., anal only a small section of woods will remain, sidewalks should not be imposed into this environment. 2.Going anywhere in this area will demand driving, since the distance to anything but backyards would be too great for most people to want to walk. PRIVACY 3.WH0 WOULD WANT A SIDEWALK IN YOUR BACKYARD AREA AS WELL AS YOUR INTRUSION FRONT YARD? A sidewalk gives easy access and encourages intrusion to the mare vulnerable backyards of property. SAFETY FOR 4.Sik~E~VA.LI~S ~d`FiEE f~ICL~fiT, especially since Forest School is so close, CHILDREN to an area where nothing will exist except a 4-lane highway, a small strip of woods, and peoples backyards. CRIME 5.A N.O. policeman and an F.B.I. agent in talks to our homeowners association, told us about the rise in crime shopping centers and reads bring. More people are brought into our area with easier escape. Hcgaes are vacant as n~re family members work away from have today. Lets not make it easier for criminals by adding sidewalks k~iere they are not needed. VANDALISM 6.SIDEWALKS MAKE EASIER ACCESS AND CONGREGATIi~ FOR THE 1~RE TROUBLESOME TEENAGERS who already give problems to the Forest School area and in the woods. Vandalise has been a problem and on the rise in the West Park-Forest Ridge area. City police as well as society as a whole has not been effective enough in controlling them. ADDITIONAL C;CNTS Our democratic system does not provide for unlimited iz~osition of the majority on the minority of people. It rather protects the minority as well. Since the people impacted by this road are going to endure t2ieproblems that cam with it for the rest of the people in North Olmsted and other communities, they deserve to be protected from further intrusion and annoyances. THE SUF3URBANITE - We move to the suburbs to get away from the closely spaced hustle and bustle traffic of large city life. We are willing to travel farther and pay more for this privilege. We feel safer and freerthan our city counterparts and feel also that we have a cleaner, more beautiful and relaxed environment. Lets not forget the residents who moved here and why they moved to North Olmsted. We who Live here are the heart of the city. North Olmsted, as well as the people directly affected, is losing a measure of suburban-like privacy, clean air, safety, trees, park and noise-free environment for the sake of this road. Why should sidewalks be imposed into this environment? Please protect us from additional unnecessary problems. ~...,~~~
