<br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />DECEMBER 7, 2010 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Jones, <br />Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Human Resources Farver, Director of <br />Public Safety and Public Service Ritenauer, Director of Planning and <br />Development Wenger <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of November 16, 2010 were approved as written. <br />The minutes of the special Council meeting of November 23, 2010 were approved as <br />written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules: <br />Second Reading -Ordinance 2010-146, Resolution 2010-148 an Ordinance 2010-153; <br />First Reading -Resolutions 2010-156, 2010-157, and 2010-161. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• The Board of Control approved the city's health care renewal for TPA services <br />and stop loss coverage with Medical Mutual of Ohio. There was a 1% increase <br />this year that can be attributed to the city's increasing the stop loss from $75,000 <br />to $100,000. <br />• The negotiating team met with the FOP on November 30, 2010. The negotiating <br />session lasted about three hours and both sides agreed to go to fact finding. The <br />tentative date for fact finding is December 22, 2010. Dispatch negotiations begin <br />on December 8, 2010. <br />• Management received a request from the local IAFF President, Dave Boatman to <br />meet to reopen negotiations. As previously reported, the union has not signed <br />their current contract. <br />• Patrol Officer, Daryl Longley, submitted his letter of retirement, with an effective <br />date of February 18, 2011. He has been an officer with the city since December <br />11, 1977. Additionally, Captain Bob Schroder turned in his letter of resignation <br />
