<br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />NOVEMBER 16, 2010 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Jones, <br />Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Human Resources Farver, Director of <br />Public Safety and Public Service Ritenauer, Director of Planning and <br />Development Wenger <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Councilwoman Jones made a motion to adjourn into executive session to discuss labor <br />negotiations and ongoing litigation. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney <br />and passed unanimously. Adjourn into executive session at 8:02 p.m. <br />Reconvene at 8:27 p.m. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of November 3, 2010 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules: <br />Second Reading -Ordinance 2010-136 & Resolution 2010-137; First Reading - <br />Resolutions 2010-140, 2010-143, 2010-145, 2010-149 & Ordinances 2010-151 and 2010- <br />152. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• The Economic Development Directors of the west shore communities have begun <br />quarterly meetings to discuss regional economic development issues. <br />• The Cultural Activities Commission is sponsoring the third annual holiday lights <br />decorating contest. Entry forms are available online or through the Clerk of <br />Commissions' office. <br />• Detective Ray Barda and firefighter Matt Peters have been selected as this year's <br />Officers of the Year. The VFW will honor these officers Wednesday, November <br />17. <br />• He thanked the Boy Scouts for investing their time and talents in building the new <br />buildings for the city's Safety Town. <br />_. <br />i <br />
