<br />Council Minutes of 10-19-2010 <br />• The Director of Safety and Service and employees from the Waste Water <br />Treatment Plant met with a representative from Hazen & Sawyer last Wednesday <br />to discuss collection system improvements. <br />• The Director of Safety and Service attended the NOPEC general assembly <br />meeting last week. NOPEC has secured electric discounts of 7% with First <br />Energy in its new 9-year agreement. Consumers who are interested in more <br />information and options can visit www.nonecinfo.ora. <br />• Leaf collection remains on schedule. Crews are currently finishing the second <br />pass of Ward II and will be starting Ward III. The third and final collection will <br />begin the week of December 6. <br />• Garbage collection will not be affected by the Thanksgiving holiday. It will be <br />collected on it's regular day -Wednesday, November 24. <br />• Another traffic accident caused damage to the traffic signal cabinet at the corner <br />of Columbia Road and Brookpark Road. Estimates for repair are being received <br />from Signal Service. <br />• Resident Carol Roads donated several hundred dollars worth of trees to be planted <br />at North Olmsted Park behind the war memorial in memory of her late husband. <br />The Service Dept. planted the five trees today. <br />• Wi-Fi has successfully been installed in the Recreation Center. Patrons can <br />access the Internet for free on their personal devices in the concession stand, rink <br />lobby, most of the bleachers, pool lobby, front lobby, gymnastics area and some <br />of the tennis lobby. Continuous improvements are being done throughout the <br />Recreation Center building. <br />• Security cameras are installed and operating at the Skate Park. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• The <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />• She. <br />Councilman Barker, Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br />The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 7:45 p.m. Present were <br />Committee members Barker, Jones and Kearney; Council members Mahoney, Orlowski <br />and Williamson; Council President Limpert; Mayor Kennedy; Director of Human <br />Resources Farver and Director of Planning and Development Wenger. <br />• Ordinance 2010-133 an Ordinance authorizing the Director of Human Resources <br />to solicit proposals for the personal services of a third party administrator (TPA) <br />to process health insurance claims and including the purchase of excess insurance <br />coverage for the city health care & hospitalization plans for 2011, and further <br />authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the board of control, to find into a <br />contract for said services and insurance, and declaring an emergency.
