<br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />NOVEMBER 3, 2010 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Jones, <br />Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Clerk of Council Gallo, <br />Director of Human Resources Farver, Director of Public Safety and Public <br />Service Ritenauer, Director of Planning and Development Wenger <br />Absent: Director of Finance Copfer <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of October 19, 2010 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules: <br />First Reading -Resolution 2010-138. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• SAFETY - A major traffic signal was destroyed last week on Great Northern <br />Blvd. due to a motor vehicle accident. A temporary signal has been installed until <br />the signal has been replaced. The police dept. assisted the Internet Crimes <br />Against Children Task Force in the arrest of a former Cleveland police officer in <br />North Olmsted. As of the end of October 2010, fire division run volume is up 45 <br />incidents from last year. The average is about one additional run per week. <br />• SERVICE -Leaf collection is beginning to slow down due to large amounts of <br />leaves that are in large piles along the streets. It may take several days to <br />complete an entire ward. Leaves will be collected as quickly as possible. All <br />plows and salt trucks are ready for winter use. The service dept. has started <br />planting 42 trees at various locations. Most are tree lawn tree replacements. <br />Storm sewer repairs continue throughout the city. <br />• PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT -Morris Cadillac Buick GMC has announced <br />they will move into their new property at the former Great Northern Dodge. They <br />plan to be open for business on Nov. 15, 2010. <br />q. ...~._d». _ ~~ _ z <br />
