Council Minutes of 11-03-2010 <br /> <br />• HUMAN RESOURCES -The emergency food cupboard project is out to bid. <br />The pre-bid meeting will be held Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010. Bid opening is <br />scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010. <br />• MAYOR'S OFFICE - He has recently promoted Betsy Drenski to Recreation <br />Commissioner and Chris Wetmore to Assistant Recreation Commissioner. Golf <br />revenue for Springvale through October is $830,197, approximately $5,000 more <br />than what was projected. Ballroom revenue through October is at projected <br />levels. FM Global, a local North Olmsted company, held their 175th anniversary <br />at Springvale in October. Aeration of the greens has been completed and they are <br />in good shape. The service dept. has removed dead trees on the course. The cross <br />country ski event and fish fry at Springvale is currently being planned. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• He commended Councilwoman Nicole Dailey Jones on her outstanding campaign <br />for the District 1 County Council seat. <br />• Of the nine Charter amendments that passed, the one that will have the most <br />significant impact is the design-build process. He is grateful that it passed. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: No report <br />Council members Limpert, Barker and Orlowski commended Nicole Dailey Jones on her <br />campaign for the District 1 County Council seat. <br />Councilmember Barker referenced three articles in the Westlife. The first article was <br />about Rocky River beginning work on a sweepstakes cafe ordinance, which the City of <br />North Olmsted has been working on since April. Fairview Park is currently working on <br />an anti-idling ordinance, which North Olmsted passed a year ago. Fairview Park is also <br />talking about sending out agenda packets electronically to cut costs, which the current <br />Clerk of Council implemented when she joined North Olmsted a year ago and he <br />commends her for that. He commended North Olmsted for doing a great job of being <br />ahead of the curve compared to other cities. <br />Councilman Mahoney, Vice Chairman of the Building, Zoning and Development <br />Committee: <br />The BZD Committee met on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Barker and Mahoney; Council members Brossard, Kearney, <br />Orlowski and Williamson; Council President Limpert; Director of Planning and <br />Development Wenger and Director of Law Gareau. <br />• Ordinance 2010-112 - An Ordinance amending Section 1139.01 of the Zoning <br />Code of the City of North Olmsted to permit entertainment device arcades in <br />2 <br />
