Councilman Barker, Chairman of the Finance Committee: The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 7:45 p.m. Present were Committee members Barker, Jones and Kearney; Council members Mahoney, Orlowski and Williamson; Council President Limpert; Mayor Kennedy; Director of Human Resources Farver and Director of Planning and Development Wenger. • Ordinance 2010-133 an Ordinance authorizing the Director of Human Resources to solicit proposals for the personal services of a third party administrator (TPA) to process health insurance claims and including the purchase of excess insurance coverage for the city health care & hospitalization plans for 2011, and further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the board of control, to find into a contract for said services and insurance, and declaring an emergency. The city is authorized to go out annually to market for TPA (Third Party Administrator) for claims processing and stop loss coverage. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of Ordinance 2010-133 • Resolution 2010-134 a Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to advertise for bids for construction services for the Emergency Food Cupboard project. The project is largely grant funded through Cuyahoga County's Community Development Block Grant program. The scope of work involves building changes and site improvements to the existing city owned property at 26272 Butternut Ridge Road. The City will be evaluating restriping of Butternut Ridge Road in the vicinity of the house to promote traffic safety. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of Resolution 2010-134. The meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m. Councilwoman Jones, Chairwoman of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee: The BZD Committee met on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Present were committee members Jones, Barker and Mahoney; Council members Kearney, Orlowski and Williamson; Council President Limpert; Director of Planning and Development Wenger and Mayor Kennedy. • CMS 10-20 O'Reilly Automotive, Inc. 24254 Lorain Road -this proposal consists of building alterations and site improvements to accommodate the new O'Reilly Auto Parts store.
