They are <br />looking at other options such as loan assistance programs. <br />• Last Friday she attended the public records training that is required for elected <br />officials. <br />• She has interviews scheduled this week for the Assistant Director of Finance <br />position. <br />Councilman Barker, Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br />The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 7:45 p.m. Present were <br />Committee members Barker, Jones and Kearney; Council members Mahoney, Orlowski <br />and Williamson; Council President Limpert; Mayor Kennedy; Director of Human <br />Resources Farver and Director of Planning and Development Wenger. <br />• Ordinance 2010-133 an Ordinance authorizing the Director of Human Resources <br />to solicit proposals for the personal services of a third party administrator (TPA) <br />to process health insurance claims and including the purchase of excess insurance <br />coverage for the city health care & hospitalization plans for 2011, and further <br />authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the board of control, to find into a <br />contract for said services and insurance, and declaring an emergency. The city is <br />authorized to go out annually to market for TPA (Third Party Administrator) for <br />claims processing and stop loss coverage. The committee voted 3-0 to <br />recommend approval of Ordinance 2010-133 <br />• Resolution 2010-134 a Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and <br />Development to advertise for bids for construction services for the Emergency <br />Food Cupboard project. The project is largely grant funded through Cuyahoga <br />County's Community Development Block Grant program. The scope of work <br />involves building changes and site improvements to the existing city owned <br />property at 26272 Butternut Ridge Road. The City will be evaluating restriping of <br />Butternut Ridge Road in the vicinity of the house to promote traffic safety. The <br />committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of Resolution 2010-134. The <br />meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m. <br />Councilwoman Jones, Chairwoman of the Building, Zoning and Development <br />Committee: <br />The BZD Committee met on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Jones, Barker and Mahoney; Council members Kearney, Orlowski <br />and Williamson; Council President Limpert; Director of Planning and Development <br />Wenger and Mayor Kennedy. <br />• CMS 10-20 O'Reilly Automotive, Inc. 24254 Lorain Road -this proposal consists <br />of building alterations and site improvements to accommodate the new O'Reilly <br />Auto Parts store.
