~, . `'
Marie Gallo
From: Lahdvm@aol.com
Sent: Monday, September 20, 2010 4:40 PM
To: gallom@north-olmsted.com
Cc: Lahdvm@aol.com
Subject: proposed Ordinance 2010-108
Dear Members of the City Council:

I respectfully request my comments be read into the record. Tonight you will be voting on ordinance 2010-108
and I am asking you to vote against it. We do not need another law in order to deal with problem residences in
our city. We have noise, nuisance and odor provisions already in place. I would hate to see the wonderful
breeders in our city (some with national and international recognition in their breed) lose their right to continue
doing what they have been doing for decades without complaint. This is a hobby for most of us, and we pour
our passion into it. Please do not take it away from us.
If you feel you must pass some sort of legislation, please consider revising what is written and not passing it as
is. There are sections that do not benefit the animals, such as limiting litters to once every 18 months. From a
veterinary standpoint, this is not recommended for an unspayed female. Perhaps you can also consider
lowering the amount of land you will require to half an acre.
I would also like to point out that legislation like this is being brought up all over the country and it is failing as it
violates people's rights to do what they want with and on their property.
Please consider failing this ordinance. I think you can see it is not fair and unnecessary.
Respectfully,
Lori Hunt, AVM
9/21/2010
