I am writing this letter because I am
very disappointed and alarmed in North Olmsted's emergency push to stop
all dog breeding in it's city. While I also support a crackdown on backyard
breeder's, I am appalled at your city's lack of consideration for breeder's who
are responsible. My veterinarian is a resident of your city, she is a nationally
recognized breeder and an esteemed Doctor. I can't believe your city would
punish all reputable professionals with such a short sighted law because of
some irresponsible backyard breeders. I am also appalled that someone such
as herself would be forced to sell her home and and have to move elsewhere
after spending her entire life in your city, an especially cruel side effect of the
passage of this law considering today's housing market. Is there a way to
handle irresponsible breeding and noise without punishing good strong
standing citizens? Why do good responsible people always pay the price for
those who are reckless? !lived in North Olmsted and raised two boys there,
and while I enjoyed the city, I know there are mare important issues that North
Olmsted faces and should be focusing an that this. Thank you for listening
and I pray you re-consider passage of this unfair legislation as it stands.
Respectfully Yours,
Pam Donzelli
Westlake, Ohio
9/8/2010
