Council Minutes of 09-08-2010 <br />year term beginning in 2011, which will pay Morns the following percentages of <br />gross city income taxes withheld by Morris for its employees located in the City: <br />50% for 2011, 30% for 2012, 20% for 2013 and 10% for 2014 and 2015. Morris <br />will be investing up to a million dollars to renovate and upgrade the property <br />which will increase the property value. They are bringing 44 jobs to the City with <br />a payroll of about 1.4 million dollars, and intend to add 10 to 15 more jobs at this <br />new site resulting in an increase of payroll to approximately two million dollars. <br />The committee voted 3-0 for approval with suspension of Resolution 2010-116. <br />Councilwoman Jones, Chairwoman of the BZD Committee: <br />Councilwoman Jones stated that Ordinance 2010-111 was held in committee and will be <br />discussed at a BZD Committee meeting on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. <br />Councilwoman Jones made a motion to grant an extension to the Planning and Design <br />Commission's review of Ordinance 2010-112 to October 13, 2010. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Extension granted. <br />Councilman Kearney, Chairman of the Recreation Committee: <br />The Recreation Committee met on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Present <br />were Committee members Kearney, Brossard and Orlowski; Council members Barker, <br />Mahoney, Williamson and Jones; President Limpert; Mayor Kennedy; Assistant to the <br />Mayor Jane Leaver; Assistant Recreation Commissioner Betsy Drenski; Chris Wetmore <br />and Springvale Facility Manager Marty Young. <br />• The Mayor updated Council on the finances and the projects that are happening at <br />the Recreation Center and Springvale. Drenski and Wetmore told Council there <br />are new activities at the Rec Center as well as new swimming times. Young <br />stated that although the golf course is not doing great, there is an increase in <br />rentals at the ballroom. More detailed financial information is on file in the Clerk <br />of Council's office. <br />Councilman Mahoney, Chairman of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee: <br />The Safety Committee met on Tuesday, August 24 2010 at 8:00 p.m. Present were <br />Committee members Mahoney, Kearney and Williamson; Council members Barker, <br />Brossard, Orlowski and Jones; President Limpert; Mayor Kennedy; Director of Law <br />Gareau; Director of Safety/Service Ritenauer and the Animal Warden. <br />• Ordinance 2010-108 an Ordinance amending Section 505.08 of Chapter 505 of <br />the General Offenses Code entitled "Animals and Fowl" in order to restrict the <br />breeding of dogs that may be kept on residential lots in the City, and declaring an <br />5 <br />
