Council Minutes of 08-17-2010 <br />Ordinance 2010-90 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance providing for the submission of an amendment to the electors of the City of <br />North Olmsted to Article IX, Section 5 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted to <br />eliminate the Director of Public Service from the redistricting process, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilwoman Jones moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Orlowski and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2010-90 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2010-91 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance providing for the submission of an amendment to the electors of the City of <br />North Olmsted to Article VII, Section 1 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted to <br />revise and establish qualifications for membership on the Board of Building Code <br />Appeals, and declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Jones moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski. Ordinance 2010-91 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2010-92 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance providing for the submission of an amendment to the electors of the City of <br />North Olmsted to Article VI, Section 3 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted to <br />identify and redefine members of the unclassified service, and declaring an emergency, as <br />amended. Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three <br />readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski and passed unanimously. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. Roll Call: Williamson, yes; Orlowski, <br />yes; Mahoney, yes with comment. Since this is the last Charter amendment, I would just <br />indicate for the record my general philosophy that all of these amendments will be <br />decided by the voters of North Olmsted. My personal feeling is that they should have <br />that right and opportunity. Roll Call continued: Jones, yes; Brossard, yes; Barker, yes; <br />Kearney, yes. Ordinance 2010-92 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2010-94 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2010. <br />Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilwoman Jones and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Jones and <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance 2010-94 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2010-95 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to request proposals for plumbing, heating, ventilation <br />and air conditioning preventative maintenance services for the city's Division of <br />Recreation; further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to <br />enter into an agreement with the individual selected in the RFP process; and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three <br />readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Brossard and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Brossard and passed unanimously.
