<br />wt., <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 15, 2010 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Jones, <br />Kearney, Orlowski, Williamson. <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Law Director Gareau, Clerk of Council Gallo, Safety <br />Director Ritenauer, Planning Director Wenger. <br />Absent: Councilman Mahoney, Finance Director Copfer, Human Resources <br />Director Farver. <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of June 1, 2010 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading -Ordinances 2010-69, 2010-70, 2010-71, 2010-72 and <br />2010-73. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• On Sunday, June 6 he went to the high school commencements at the Palace <br />Theater. <br />• On Saturday, June 12, he went to the Nick Rauser second annual run in Bretton <br />Ridge. <br />• He went to the All-Scouts Parade and luncheon. Duane Limpert was awarded the <br />Lifetime Achievement Award from the Scouts. <br />• The city has been awarded a Surface Water Improvement Fund (SWIF) Grant <br />from the Ohio EPA in the amount of $196,028 for improvements to the City Hall <br />parking lot. The parking area and concrete median will be replaced with a <br />bioswale and permeable brick pavers. No city match is required. <br />• The second concert of the Parkfest concert series will be held on Sunday, June 27 <br />at 3:00 p.m. at the North Olmsted Park Gazebo. The free student-organized <br />concert featuring local bands is sponsored by the Cultural Activities Commission <br />and Kiwanis. <br />• In collaboration with the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging, the North <br />Olmsted Senior Center will host the summer mobile farmers market again this <br />
