Council Minutes of 04-20-2010 <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution 2010-42 adopted. <br />Resolution 2010-44 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase computer servers, support hardware, <br />software and a shared storage device through the State Purchase Program; and further <br />authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to effectuate such purchase, <br />and declaring an emergency. Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend the rule <br />requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. Resolution 2010-44 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2010-45 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy on <br />behalf of himself and the entire City Council. An Ordinance amending Section 111.01 of <br />the Administrative Code for the purposes of exempting advertising contracts from its <br />application and to grant authority to the Mayor or his designee to issue park concession <br />permits. <br />Resolution 2010-46 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to enter into <br />an agreement with the Board of Cuyahoga County Commissioners for the asset transfer <br />of equipment purchased with FY2007 Urban Area Security Initiative Grant, and declaring <br />an emergency. Councilman Mahoney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three <br />readings. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2010-46 adopted. <br />Resolution 2010-47 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one <br />year contract with MB3 Consulting LLC for the purpose of providing economic <br />development consulting services to the city, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br />Barker made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilwoman Jones and passed unanimously. President Limpert asked if <br />anyone in the audience has any questions or comments regarding the legislation. <br />Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane asked if the consulting fee is $150/hour. <br />Councilman Barker said yes. Lambert asked why the city did not go out to bid for these <br />services. Mayor Kennedy responded that Silverlode, the city's current economic <br />development consultant, ended up splitting up. They had three partners. Greg Myers <br />went on his own to handle the public sector while the other two handle the private sector. <br />This is the same individual who was the city's consultant before at a lower price now. <br />Gareau said the original selection of Silverlode was done through the RFP process. <br />Councilman Barker moved for adoption.
