MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />APRIL 6, 2010 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert, Council Members Barker, <br />Dailey Jones, Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Williamson. <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Gallo, Safety Director Thomas, Human Resources Director <br />Farver. <br />Absent: Council Member Brossard <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of March 16, 2010 were approved as written. <br />President Limpert announced that the following legislation would be considered for <br />passage under suspension of the rules: Second Reading -Ordinance 2010-31; First <br />Reading -Resolutions 2010-39, 2010-40 & 2010-41; Ordinance 2010-43. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• The Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging will be holding their annual Senior <br />Wellness and Independence Expo on Wednesday, April 28 from 9 am - 2 pm at <br />the Great Northern Mall. There will be a free breakfast for seniors, workshops, <br />seminars and free hearing, blood pressure, sugar and cholesterol screenings. <br />• The Senior Center will be sponsoring the annual RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer <br />Program) on Friday, April 30~' at noon at the Senior Center. This luncheon is to <br />recognize all of the 72 registered volunteers at the Senior Center and specifically <br />the Volunteer of the Year. Ms. Alice Hoover, who worked 276 hours in 2009, <br />will be this year's honoree. <br />• For the last two weeks, Springvale has been open on days when the weather has <br />cooperated. The Fish Fry events concluded on Good Friday. Total net profit was <br />just over $ 2,800. <br />• The city parks and restroom facilities will be opened for use by this weekend. <br />Weather permitting, all playgrounds will have received spring cleaning and will <br />..,_,._.,, ,~.v..,.~ ~.. ~,. . , . <br />
