f <br />5 <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 2, 2010 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert, Council Members Barker, Brossard, <br />Dailey Jones, Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Williamson. <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Assistant Law Director O'Malley, Finance Director <br />Copfer, Clerk of Council Gallo. <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the special Council meeting of February 9, 2010 were approved as <br />written. The minutes of the Council meeting of February 16, 2010 were approved as <br />written. <br />President Limpert announced that the following legislation would be considered for <br />' passage under suspension of the rules: Second Reading -Resolution 2010-23, First <br />``" Reading -Resolutions 2010-25 and 2010-26, Ordinance 2010-29 and Resolution 2010- <br />30. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• He presented a Proclamation to the contractor, Burton Scott, who received an <br />award for the Dover Center Road Project. <br />• Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court has awarded North Olmsted a grant in the <br />amount of $14,400 for the Youth Diversion Program. <br />• North Olmsted Police Sergeant Simon Cesareo has announced his intention to <br />resign effective April 10, 2010. <br />• The West Shore SWAT team has expressed an interested in using Fire Station No. <br />2. The. building would be used as administrative headquarters and allow for the <br />storage of equipment. The city is in early stages of negotiations to determine the <br />suitability of the building for S WAT needs. <br />• ESCI, the Fire District Study, has announced two Public Hearings on their <br />proposal. The hearings will be next Tuesday, March 9, at Rocky River Senior <br />Center and next Wednesday, March 10, at the Westlake Recreation Center.
