Council Minutes of 03-02-2010 <br />on the roof including weights, structural computations, dimensions and other <br />~~. <br />specifications as required. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney an <br />passed unanimously. Conditional Use Permit for Clearwire located at 26101 Country <br />Club Boulevard approved. <br />Councilwoman Jones made a motion to approve the telecommunications proposal for <br />Clearwire located at 26101 Country Club Boulevard consisting of installing wireless <br />communication antenna and an equipment cabinet on an existing structure. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Telecommunications <br />proposal for Clearwire located at 26101 approved. <br />Councilman Kearney, Chairman of the Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings <br />Committee: <br />The Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee met Tuesday, February 23, 2010 <br />at 7:15 p.m. Present were committee members Kearney, Brossard and Orlowski; <br />members of Council; Mayor Kennedy; Planning Director Wenger; and Paul Schumann <br />from the Landmarks Commission. <br />• Discussed was Ordinance 2010-23 a Resolution supporting the application of the <br />Olmsted Historical Society for a historic marker at the Frostyille Museum and <br />declaring an emergency. Director Wenger and Schumann told Council that the <br />Metroparks had offered to pay for the landmark on account of all the great work <br />that the Landmarks Commission has done on the Church and the area surrounding <br />it. Schumann told Council that the work has been accomplished by many <br />volunteers, some showing up daily to donate their time and resources. The <br />committee voted in favor of the Ordinance 3-0. Schumann invites all to come <br />down and see the church and to attend three pancake breakfasts: March 7, March <br />14 and March 21 - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. <br />Councilman Mahoney, Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 7:10 <br />p.m. Present were committee members Mahoney, Kearney and Williamson; all of <br />Council; Mayor Kennedy; Assistant Law Director O'Malley; Finance Director Copfer; <br />Safety Director Thomas; Human Resources Director Farver; and Planning Director <br />Wenger. <br />• On the agenda for the committee meeting was 2010-29, which is an Ordinance <br />amending and re-establishing the organization of the Division of Fire of the <br />Department of Public Safety and declaring an emergency. They heard from a <br />number of individuals in connection with the reason and purpose for this <br />legislation. Mayor Kennedy opened up the meeting presenting his thoughts and <br />views. Dr. Thomas followed. Councilman Kearney and other members of <br />Council were allowed an opportunity to speak, and then they heard from various <br />guests and residents in terms of their position and view on this particular piece of <br />5 <br />
