Council Minutes of 03-02-2010 year has seen him deplete his cash flow. He is close to calling it quits after fifty five ~~` years. He finds it hard for anybody in today's economy to argue about what they're '''""` being paid. Be thankful you have a job that pays you because he doesn't. You sit there and say you're willing to make concessions. Why didn't you do that in the beginning? Why didn't you guys sit down and agree to do this thing instead of now showing up here? He is not against unions. He was union for thirty years. He understands the plight of the union man. He just couldn't do it anymore. He has a lot he can give to the people of North Olmsted that assures them that they will have a concrete driveway or a patio that will last as long as they live. LEGISLATION Ordinance 2010-20 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An Ordinance amending Section 1701.27 of the Fire Prevention Code in order to create an additional exemption to monetary charges assessed for false fire alarms and to authorize the Director of Public Safety to grant or deny an exemption upon request. Councilman Mahoney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2010-20 adopted. Resolution 2010-23 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A Resolution supporting the application of the Olmsted Historical Society for an Ohio Historic Marker at the Frostville Museum, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings as it has been discussed in committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2010-24 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2010. Resolution 2010-25 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Public Safety to make application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted fora 2010 Recycling Container Grant from the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste Recycling District ("CCSWRD"); further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant if awarded; and to execute a contract with the CCSWRD, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Mahoney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings noting that this is a question of timing per the Safety Director.
