You sit there <br />and say you're willing to make concessions. Why didn't you do that in the beginning? <br />Why didn't you guys sit down and agree to do this thing instead of now showing up here? <br />He is not against unions. He was union for thirty years. He understands the plight of the <br />union man. He just couldn't do it anymore. He has a lot he can give to the people of <br />North Olmsted that assures them that they will have a concrete driveway or a patio that <br />will last as long as they live. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2010-20 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance amending Section 1701.27 of the Fire Prevention Code in order to create an <br />additional exemption to monetary charges assessed for false fire alarms and to authorize <br />the Director of Public Safety to grant or deny an exemption upon request. Councilman <br />Mahoney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance 2010-20 adopted. <br />Resolution 2010-23 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution supporting the application of the Olmsted Historical Society for an Ohio <br />Historic Marker at the Frostville Museum, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br />Kearney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings as it has been <br />discussed in committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Orlowski and passed unanimously. Resolution 2010-23 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2010-24 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the <br />City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2010. <br />Resolution 2010-25 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Public Safety to make application on <br />behalf of the City of North Olmsted fora 2010 Recycling Container Grant from the <br />Cuyahoga County Solid Waste Recycling District ("CCSWRD"); further authorizing the <br />Mayor to accept the grant if awarded; and to execute a contract with the CCSWRD, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Mahoney made a motion to suspend the rule <br />requiring three readings noting that this is a question of timing per the Safety Director. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously.
