<br />A.;, <br />-;...~ <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JANUARY 19, 2010 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert, Council Members Barker, Brossard, <br />Dailey Jones, Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Williamson. <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Gallo. <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover <br />Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Special Council meeting of December 29, 2009 were approved as <br />written. Councilman Mahoney and Councilwoman Williamson abstained from approval <br />of the minutes as they were not present at this meeting. The minutes of the Council <br />meeting of January 5, 2010 were approved as written. <br />President Limpert announced that the following legislation would be considered for <br />passage under suspension of the rules: Second Reading, Resolutions 2010-2 & 2010-3; <br />First Reading, Ordinance 2010-5 & Resolution 2010-8. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• On Wednesday, January 6, he took a tour of the Recreation Center and Senior <br />Center and discussed some of their issues. On Thursday, January 7, he met with <br />Planning Director Kim Wenger and Greg Myers from Silverlode, the Economic <br />Development Consultant. They talked about different strategies to attract <br />business and retain current businesses. On Tuesday, January 12 he met with Bay <br />Village Mayor Debbie Sutherland to talk about regionalism ideas and how North <br />Olmsted and Bay Village can work closer together and develop abetter <br />relationship. On January 13 he met with Dale Mitchell of the Building <br />Department to discuss building issues. On January 14 he met with Sharon and <br />Tom from the Wastewater Treatment Plant and toured the plant. There are <br />improvements happening over the course of the next few years. There are a lot of <br />good things happening over there. On January 15, he met with the Fire <br />Department and toured Stations 1 and 2. He met with Chief Klecan and <br />discussed fire issues. He also had the privilege of meeting with two new <br />
