<br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />DECEMBER 20, 2011 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert; Council Members Barker, Brossard, <br />Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Schumann, Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Planning and Development Wenger, <br />Director of Safety and Service Thomas, and Director of Human Resources <br />Farver <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The Council meeting minutes of October 4, 2011, November 15, 2011 and November 22, <br />2011 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules: <br />Second Reading -Resolution 2011-135, Resolution 2011-136, Ordinance 2011-137 & <br />Resolution 2011-139; First Reading -Ordinance 2011-140 & Resolutions 2011-142, 143, <br />and 144. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• He commended Safety/Service Director Thomas and the Service Dept. for <br />extending the traffic lights on Lorain Road to help traffic flow better. <br />• The first session of Management/Supervisor training was held December 12, <br />2011. It was the first of six series of sessions which will conclude December <br />2012. <br />• The employee holiday breakfast was held December 14. Employees from all <br />departments and divisions attended. A special thank you for those that helped <br />make it a success. <br />• On Sunday night, the Recreation Center hosted the annual Santa Skate. Over 200 <br />people enjoyed the open skate with Santa and Frosty the Snowman. <br />• The back tennis hallway project will be completed this week. The windows have <br />been installed so the tennis area can be viewed by patrons. <br />• The WWTP pre-treatment amlual report will be filed with the Ohio EPA. The <br />Collections Dept. has been cleaning the back end of Bretton Ridge for the sanitary <br />sewers and placing cameras through the front half. The have also assisted in <br />storm water cleaning on Country Club Blvd. and Fitch Road drainage off of I- <br />4„~.,~.a,~ -- ., . ~ . _, <br />
