MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED DECEMBER 20, 2011 Present: President of Council Limpert; Council Members Barker, Brossard, Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Schumann, Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Planning and Development Wenger, Director of Safety and Service Thomas, and Director of Human Resources Farver President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council meeting minutes of October 4, 2011, November 15, 2011 and November 22, 2011 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules: Second Reading -Resolution 2011-135, Resolution 2011-136, Ordinance 2011-137 & Resolution 2011-139; First Reading -Ordinance 2011-140 & Resolutions 2011-142, 143, and 144. REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • He commended Safety/Service Director Thomas and the Service Dept. for extending the traffic lights on Lorain Road to help traffic flow better. • The first session of Management/Supervisor training was held December 12, 2011. It was the first of six series of sessions which will conclude December 2012. • The employee holiday breakfast was held December 14. Employees from all departments and divisions attended. A special thank you for those that helped make it a success. • On Sunday night, the Recreation Center hosted the annual Santa Skate. Over 200 people enjoyed the open skate with Santa and Frosty the Snowman. • The back tennis hallway project will be completed this week. The windows have been installed so the tennis area can be viewed by patrons. • The WWTP pre-treatment amlual report will be filed with the Ohio EPA. The Collections Dept. has been cleaning the back end of Bretton Ridge for the sanitary sewers and placing cameras through the front half. The have also assisted in storm water cleaning on Country Club Blvd. and Fitch Road drainage off of I- 4„~.,~.a,~ -- ., . ~ . _,
