Council Minutes of 12-20-2011 <br />Councilman Kearney, Chairman of the Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings Committee: <br />The Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings Committee met Tuesday, December 13, 2011 <br />at 7:20 p.m. Present were committee members Kearney, Orlowski and Brossard; Council <br />President Limpert; Council members Barker, Mahoney, and Schumann; Mayor Kennedy, <br />Law Director Gareau and Planning/Development Director Wenger. <br />• Discussed was Ordinance 2011-134 which is an Ordinance authorizing the Mayor <br />to renew the contract between the City and Karrie Skall Tipton for the provision <br />of professional gymnastics instruction services at the North Olmsted Recreation <br />Center for an additional two (2) years. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend <br />approval of Ordinance 2011-134. <br />Councilman Mahoney, Vice-Chairman of the Public Health, Safety & Welfare <br />Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee met Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at <br />7:15 p.m. Present were committee members Mahoney and Schumann; Council President <br />Limpert; Council members Barker, Kearney, Brossard and Orlowski; and Mayor <br />Kennedy. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2011-135 which is a Resolution authorizing the <br />Director of Public Safety to participate in the Cuyahoga County Board of Health's <br />asset transfer program in order to provide for $3,935.55 in supplies for prevention <br />of disease kits; and further authorizing the Mayor to accept the asset transfer and <br />to execute an agreement, and declaring an emergency. 'The committee voted 2-0 <br />to recommend approval of Resolution 2011-13 5 with suspension. <br />• Discussed last was a liquor permit request for the new GetGo Gas Station at the <br />corner of Lorain and Dover Center. Lt. Cox from the Police Dept. offered no <br />objection to this permit. The committee recommended 2-0 to not object to the <br />liquor permit for GetGo gas station. <br />Councilman Mahoney made a motion to not object to the liquor permit for the GetGo gas <br />station. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed <br />unanimously. GetGo gas station liquor permit approved. <br />Councilman Schumann, Chairman of the Intra-Governmental Relations Committee: <br />The Intra-Governmental Relations Committee met Tuesday, December 13, 2012 at 7:25 <br />p.m. Present were committee members Schumann and Mahoney, Council President <br />Limpert; Council members Barker, Brossard, Kearney and Orlowski; Mayor Kenney, <br />Planning/Development Director Wenger and guests. <br />• Discussed first was Resolution 2011-136 which is a Resolution authorizing the <br />Mayor to execute the Cuyahoga County Business Attraction and Anti-Poaching <br />4 <br />
