<br />F <br />~,,~, <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />NOVEMBER 1, 2011 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert; Council Members Barker, Brossard, <br />Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Schumann, Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Planning and Development Wenger, <br />Director of Safety and Service Thomas, and Director of Human Resources <br />Farver <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of October 18, 2011 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules: <br />Second Reading -Ordinance 2011-107; First Reading -Resolutions 2011-112 & 2011- <br />113. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• The 2012 health care renewal was 1.23% lower than the 2011 costs. Medical <br />Mutual of Ohio will continue to provide the Third Party Administrator (TPA) <br />service and stop-loss coverage. Part of the 2012 health care plan will include <br />Flex-Save, which is a program that permits employees to have money deducted <br />from their paycheck, pre-tax, and placed into an account that can be used for <br />medical and dependant care expenses. <br />• Westfield Great Northern invites all elected officials and the public to attend the <br />grand opening of the new dining court on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 11:00 <br />a.m. The first 100 shoppers to the ribbon-cutting ceremony located inside the <br />center near Dick's Sporting Goods will enjoy a free lunch. <br />• Bid openings for energy upgrades as part of the NOPEC Powering Our <br />Communities grant is tomorrow, Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at noon. <br />Lighting upgrades will begin this year with HVAC upgrades and window <br />replacement in the spring. <br />• In the Service Department, 19 catch basins have been repaired, 675 catch basins <br />and culverts have been cleaned and 17.3 miles of sanitary mains have been jetted. <br />
