Council Minutes of i 1-01-2011 <br />contract with Union Eye Care Center, Inc., to provide eye care and vision services to city <br />employees in connection with the city's self-insured health care plan, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three <br />readings and formal committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />2011-112 adopted. <br />Resolution 2011-113 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to accept a five thousand dollar grant from Sunnyside <br />Toyota for the purchase of playground and other public use equipment at Barton Bradley <br />Park, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney made a motion to suspend the <br />rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution 2011-113 adopted. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Barker scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Wednesday, November <br />9, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss 2011-114 and 2011-115 and the 3`d Quarter Review. The <br />Finance Director and Mayor are asked to attend. <br />Councilwoman Williamson scheduled a Public Safety Committee meeting for Tuesday, <br />November 15, 2011 at 7:15 p.m. to discuss 2011-111. The Mayor is asked to attend. <br />Councilman Mahoney scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for Tuesday, November 15, <br />2011 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Morris Cadillac and Ganley Improvements. The <br />Planning/Development Director is asked to attend. <br />Councilman Brossard scheduled a Streets and Transportation Committee meeting for <br />Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 7:20 p.m. to discuss 2011-110.
