Council Minutes of 09-20-2011 Ordinance 2011-100 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance to revise the Codified Ordinances by adopting current replacement pages, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2011-101 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to make application with the Ohio Department of Public Safety for renewal of a grant for participation in the "Third Grade Safety Belt Program"; further authorizing the Mayor to accept funding if awarded and to execute contracts if necessary, and declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Resolution 2011-102 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning & Development to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the North Olmsted Facilities Energy Conservation Project, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Building Department, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2011-103 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2011, and declaring an emergency. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Councilman Barker scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss 2011-100 and 2011-103. The Finance Director and Mayor are asked to attend. Councilman Barker scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss 2011-102. The Planning/Development Director is asked to attend. Councilman Orlowski scheduled an Environmental Control Committee meeting for Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 7:45 p.m. to discuss 2011-74. The Finance Director and a representative from Hazen & Sawyer are asked to attend. Council President Limpert scheduled a Committee of the Whole for Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. to discuss North Olmsted Redistricting. Councilman Barker made a motion to excuse the absence of Councilman Brossard. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Councilman Brossard excused. 7
