* ~ ' <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />AUGUST 16, 2011 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert; Council Members Barker, Brossard, <br />Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Schumann, Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Planning and Development Wenger <br />and Director of Human Resources Farver. <br />Absent: Director of Safety and Service Thomas <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Councilman Mahoney made a motion to amend the agenda to remove the minutes of the <br />Council meeting of August 2, 2011. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman <br />Williamson and passed unanimously. Agenda amended to remove the minutes of August <br />2, 2011. <br />The Council meeting minutes of June 21, 2011 and the special meeting of July 11, 2011 <br />were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules: <br />Second Reading -Resolutions 2011-82 and 2011-84 & Ordinance 2011-86; First <br />Reading -Resolutions 2011-87, 2011-90 & 2011-92. <br />Councilman Orlowski took a moment of personal privilege to thank all city employees <br />for their kinds words of condolence, cards, flowers and attendance at the wake for his <br />sister. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• On August 11th, Board of Control awarded the Springvale Golf Course <br />Renovation Phase 2 project to XGD Systems out of Stuart, Florida. XGD has <br />performed this type of drainage and bunker renovation on some of the top courses <br />across the country. Work should begin next week and is expected to be complete <br />by the beginning of October. <br />ri ~ . ~~~~ <br />
