<br />~.;; <br />~~ <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />AUGUST 2, 2011 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert; Council Members Barker, Brossard, <br />Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Schumann, Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Planning and Development Wenger. <br />Absent: Director of Safety and Service Thomas, Director of Human Resources <br />Farver <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Councilman Mahoney made a motion to amend the agenda to remove approval of the <br />Council meeting minutes of June 21, 2011 and the special Council meeting of July 11, <br />2011. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. <br />Agenda amended to remove approval of the Council meeting minutes. <br />Councilman Barker made a motion to amend the agenda to remove Ordinance 2011-87. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Agenda <br />amended to remove 2011-87. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules: <br />First Reading -Resolution 2011-80, Ordinance 2011-81, Resolution 2011-83 & <br />Resolution 2011-85. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• He presented scholarships from the Mayor's Run to Nick Brossard, Moira <br />English, Rick Murphy, Ryan O'Malley and Sean Robinson. <br />• He recognized the State Champs from St. Edward's Volley Ball Team -Rick <br />Murphy, Sean Murphy and Zack Champa. Councilman Brossard took a moment <br />of personal privilege to congratulate everyone. <br />• Service Dept. personnel are continuing to respond to flooding calls related to the <br />rain event of Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Crews are cleaning catch basins, jetting <br />storm lines and cleaning ditches. Over 600 residents attended three community <br />flood meetings. <br />
