~~..
F~
Council Minutes of 06-21-2011
should award a contract for the Rec Center. In actuality, an expenditure of money should
go to the Finance Committee, not Mr. Kearney's committee, and should be in the form of
an ordinance. By passing this, you're sidestepping the process of reviewing what the
Mayor will spend to do this project.
Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman
Mahoney and passed unanimously. Resolution 2011-77 adopted.
Resolution 2011-78 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A
Resolution authorizing the Mayor to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to
provide construction services for the Springvale Golf Course drainage improvement
project, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the
Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the
lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Kearney made a
motion to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. The
motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski and passed unanimously.
Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane said that he will respond ditto to his last comments.
Councilman Kearney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman
Orlowski. Roll Call: Kearney, yes; Orlowski, yes; Barker, yes with comment. This
Resolution being brought forth today...the basis of this Resolution was discussed in the
budget hearings and if Mr. Lambert had attended the budget hearing meetings, he would
have heard about this and known that the cost was discussed. My vote is yes. Roll Call
continued: Schumann, yes; Mahoney, yes; Williamson, yes. Resolution 2011-78
adopted.
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
Councilman Mahoney made a motion to excuse the absence of Councilman Brossard.
The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman
Brossard excused.
With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before
Council, President Limpert adjourned the Council meet' at 9:05 p.m.
~,
,.~` ~~\
Marie Gallo, Clerk of Council Duane K. L mpert, Presiden ouncil
8
