a MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL ~'°' OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED MAY 17, 2011 Present: Council Members Barker, Brossard Kearney, Mahoney, Schumann, Orlowski, Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Human Resources Farver, Director of Planning and Development Wenger Absent: President of Council Limpert, Director of Finance Copfer President Pro-tem Mahoney called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilman Mahoney made a motion to amend the agenda to add Ordinance 2011-72. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2011-72 added to the agenda. ~. Councilman Mahoney made a motion to remove the approval of the May 3, 2011 Council meeting minutes. The motion was seconded. by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Approval of the May 3, 2011 Council meeting minutes removed from the agenda. The minutes of the special Council meeting of March 26, 2011 were approved as written. The minutes of the Council meeting of April 19, 2011 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules: Second Reading -Resolution 2011-64; First Reading -Ordinance 2011-72 REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • He introduced his Safety/Service Director (pending Council approval), Scott Thomas. • North Olmsted Chrysler Jeep and Dodge had several car thefts last week. The suspect, a former employee of the dealership, was arrested late last week. • Residents are reminded that major utility company workers have company identification.
