~: <br />Council Minutes of OS-17-2011 <br />Councilman Schumann announced that Scott Thomas' interview is Tuesday, May 24, <br />'"` 2011 at 8:00 announced that Scott Thomas' interview is Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 8:00 <br />`'°'~ p.m. <br />Councilman Barker said there was a Committee of the Whole meeting Tuesday, May 10, <br />2011 at 8:00 p.m. to discuss redistricting of the City of North Olmsted. Two gentlemen <br />attended that represent two companies that offer redistricting services - Mr. Robert <br />Dykes from Triad Research Group and Mark Sailing from Cleveland State University. <br />They will be presenting Council with proposal letters and a Committee of the Whole <br />meeting will be scheduled to discuss the proposals. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane welcomed Scott Thomas to the city. He said he has <br />been waiting patiently for holes to get patched on the streets. He lost a hubcap on his car <br />on Columbia Road. He wants to note on record that on Columbia Road between <br />Butternut Ridge and Lorain has some large holes. He said he also notes that the city is <br />down one foreman. He is not sure another foreman is the solution to find the pot holes in <br />the community. Mr. Thomas can take into consideration the fact that the police officers <br />that drive around the city should be knowledgeable enough to evaluate the seriousness of <br />some of the streets. He suggested that the Police Dept. and Service Dept. work together <br />on this issue. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2011-55 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />of a contract to provide construction services to upgrade the Dover and LeBern pump <br />station controls, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and <br />authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the <br />same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />Councilman Orlowski moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Barker and passed unanimously. Resolution 2011-55 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2011-59 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to purchase one rescue squad fire apparatus for the <br />North Olmsted Fire Department through the State Purchase Program; further authorizing <br />the Mayor to execute necessary contract documents; and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Orlowski and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2011-59 adopted. <br />Resolution 2011-61 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading.
