~, <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />APRIL 19, 2011 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert, Council Members Barker, Brossard <br />Kearney, Mahoney, Schumann, Orlowski, Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Human Resources Farver, Director of <br />Planning and Development Wenger <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Councilman Orlowski made a motion to hold Resolution 2011-55 in committee pending <br />changes to the legislation. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2011-55 held in committee. <br />The minutes of the special Council meeting of March 22, 2011 were approved as written. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of April 5, 2011 were approved as written. <br />Council President Limpert announced that there will be a Public Hearing on Tuesday, <br />May 17, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2011-17. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules: <br />Second Reading -Ordinances 2011-39, 2011-40, 2011-41; Resolutions 2011-42, 2011- <br />49, 2011-50; Ordinance 2011-52 and Resolution 2011-53; First Reading -Resolution <br />2011-57, Ordinance 2011-58 and Resolution 2011-60. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• He presented a Proclamation to John Lasko, Jr., the former Planning and Design <br />Commission Chairman who resigned his post to spend more time as President of <br />the School Board. <br />• Chase Ritenauer resigned his position as Safety/Service Director effective April <br />10, 2011. He is currently running for Mayor of Lorain, and he was notified <br />several weeks ago that he was not permitted to seek a partisan elected office while <br />holding a position as Safety/Service Director which may be in violation federal <br />law -the Hatch Act. The Mayor will be the acting Safety/Service Director until <br />the position is filled. <br />
