Council Minutes of 04-19-2011 <br /> <br />Water BMPs Project, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Engineering <br />Department, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of <br />Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an <br />emergency. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of Resolution <br />2011-53 with suspension. <br />Councilwoman Williamson, Chairwoman of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare <br />Committee: <br />The Public Safety Committee met Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Williamson, Mahoney and Schumann; Council President Limpert; <br />Council members Barker, Kearney, and Orlowski. <br />• Discussed was liquor permit no. 6587217 Osaka II LLC dba Osaka II located at <br />25102 Brookpark Road. Lt. Cox conducted a background investigation and found <br />no issues with this applicant. This is a new permit. The voted 3-0 to recommend <br />to not object to liquor permit no. 6587217 Osaka II. <br />Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to not object to liquor permit no. 6587217 <br />Osaka II located at 25102 Brookpark Road. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Mahoney and passed unanimously. Liquor permit no. 6587217 Osaka II approved. <br />Councilman Brossard, Chairman of the Streets & Transportation Committee: <br />The Streets & Transportation Committee met Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. <br />Present were committee members Brossard, Orlowski and Williamson; Council President <br />Limpert; Council members Barker, Kearney, Mahoney, and Schumann; Mayor Kennedy <br />and Planning and Development Director Wenger. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2011-42 which is a Resolution dispensing with the RFP <br />process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one year contract with <br />Cuyahoga County/The Cuyahoga County Engineer for the purpose of providing <br />inspection services for bridges and culverts, and declaring an emergency. The <br />committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval of Resolution 2011-42 with <br />suspension. <br />Councilman Schumann noted that Council approved the Mayor's appointment of Jeff <br />Peepers to the Planning and Design Commission on April 12, 2011 and he has already <br />attended a meeting. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Jennifer Rudolph, 3329 Walter Road asked why Ordinance 2011-33 to allow beer at the <br />Community Cabin is necessary.
