. , <br />r' <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 15, 2011 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert, Council Members Barker, Kearney, <br />Mahoney, Schumann, Orlowski, Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Human Resources Farver, Director of <br />Planning and Development Wenger <br />Absent: Council Member Brossard <br />Director of Public Safety and Service Ritenauer <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />There was a moment of silence for the victims of the tsunami in Japan. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of February 15, 2011 and special Council meeting of <br />February 26, 2011 were approved as written. Councilman Schumann abstained from the <br />February 15 and February 26 minutes as he was not a member of Council during that <br />time. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules: <br />Second Reading -Resolution 2011-26, Ordinance 2011-28, Resolution 2011-29 and <br />Resolution 2011-30. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• On March 10, 2011 he had the pleasure of cutting the ribbon at the new Saab <br />Dealership. <br />• On March 11, 2011 he attended the Fish Fry at Springvale and encouraged <br />residents to attend. <br />• The Local Government Fund is going to be cut 25% this year and 50% next year. <br />That means an approximate $300,000 cut this year for the city and a $600,000 cut <br />next year. <br />• Five new police cruisers were delivered and the Service Dept. will begin the <br />process of equipping them for duty. <br />
