. , r' MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED MARCH 15, 2011 Present: President of Council Limpert, Council Members Barker, Kearney, Mahoney, Schumann, Orlowski, Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Human Resources Farver, Director of Planning and Development Wenger Absent: Council Member Brossard Director of Public Safety and Service Ritenauer President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. There was a moment of silence for the victims of the tsunami in Japan. The minutes of the Council meeting of February 15, 2011 and special Council meeting of February 26, 2011 were approved as written. Councilman Schumann abstained from the February 15 and February 26 minutes as he was not a member of Council during that time. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules: Second Reading -Resolution 2011-26, Ordinance 2011-28, Resolution 2011-29 and Resolution 2011-30. REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • On March 10, 2011 he had the pleasure of cutting the ribbon at the new Saab Dealership. • On March 11, 2011 he attended the Fish Fry at Springvale and encouraged residents to attend. • The Local Government Fund is going to be cut 25% this year and 50% next year. That means an approximate $300,000 cut this year for the city and a $600,000 cut next year. • Five new police cruisers were delivered and the Service Dept. will begin the process of equipping them for duty.
