'~ : <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 1, 2011 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert, Council Members Bazker, Brossazd <br />Kearney, Mahoney, Schumann, Orlowski, Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gazeau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Human Resources Farver, Director of <br />Planning and Development Wenger, Director of Public Safety and Public <br />Service Ritenauer <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to amend the agenda to remove the approval <br />of the February 15, 2011 Council meeting minutes. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. February 15, 2011 minutes removed <br />from the agenda. <br />Councilman Barker made a motion to allow Councilman Schumann to fulfill the <br />vacancies of former Councilwoman Nicole Dailey Jones on Council committees. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Schumann appointed to fulfill committee vacancies of former Councilwoman Nicole <br />Dailey Jones. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules: <br />Second Reading -Resolutions 2011-30 and 2011-31. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• Mayor Kennedy welcomed Paul Schumann to Council and congratulated him. <br />• In 2004 Congress mandated that FEMA update their zoning maps across the <br />country. Maps for Cuyahoga County were completed in Fall 2010. Two hundred <br />eighty seven parcels were added to the flood zone in North Olmsted. He has been <br />getting calls all week from residents because your insurance will increase when <br />you are added to a flood zone. One hundred thirty nine pazcels were removed. <br />The City will be sending letters notifying residents if they have been added or <br />removed from the flood zone map. <br />
