'~ : MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED MARCH 1, 2011 Present: President of Council Limpert, Council Members Bazker, Brossazd Kearney, Mahoney, Schumann, Orlowski, Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gazeau, Director of Finance Copfer, Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Human Resources Farver, Director of Planning and Development Wenger, Director of Public Safety and Public Service Ritenauer President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to amend the agenda to remove the approval of the February 15, 2011 Council meeting minutes. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. February 15, 2011 minutes removed from the agenda. Councilman Barker made a motion to allow Councilman Schumann to fulfill the vacancies of former Councilwoman Nicole Dailey Jones on Council committees. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Councilman Schumann appointed to fulfill committee vacancies of former Councilwoman Nicole Dailey Jones. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules: Second Reading -Resolutions 2011-30 and 2011-31. REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • Mayor Kennedy welcomed Paul Schumann to Council and congratulated him. • In 2004 Congress mandated that FEMA update their zoning maps across the country. Maps for Cuyahoga County were completed in Fall 2010. Two hundred eighty seven parcels were added to the flood zone in North Olmsted. He has been getting calls all week from residents because your insurance will increase when you are added to a flood zone. One hundred thirty nine pazcels were removed. The City will be sending letters notifying residents if they have been added or removed from the flood zone map.
