Council Minutes of 02-01-2011 <br />Resolution 2011-9 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to make application for <br />a Certified Local Government (CLG) grant administered by the Ohio Historic <br />Preservation Office; further authorizing the Mayor to accept the CLG grant if awarded <br />and authorizing the City to expend funds to satisfy local match requirements, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Mahoney made a motion to suspend the rule <br />requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Mahoney moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Resolution 2011-9 adopted. <br />Resolution 2011-10 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety on behalf of the City to apply for a <br />Fiscal Year 2010 Assistance to Firefighters Grant for the purpose of creating community <br />programs to promote fire safety; further authorizing the Mayor, if the application is <br />granted, to enter into an agreement with the appropriate agency to accept said grant <br />funds, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Mahoney made a motion to suspend the <br />rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson <br />and passed unanimously. Councilman Mahoney moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Resolution 2011-10 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance 2011-11 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council President <br />Limpert. An Ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted <br />to provide for the installation and enforcement of additional "No Parking" signs on the <br />fire hydrant side of Pheasants Walk north of the intersection of Lorain Road. <br />Ordinance 2011-12 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 151 of the Administrative Code entitled <br />"Board of Zoning Appeals" in order to create the position of Vice Chairman and to <br />eliminate reference to fees. <br />Ordinance 2011-13 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 147 of the Administrative Code entitled <br />"Board of Building Code Appeals" in order to create the position of Vice Chairman and <br />to eliminate the position of Secretary to the Board. <br />Ordinance 2011-14 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 143 of the Administrative Code entitled <br />"Boards and Commissions Generally" in order to clarify the duties of the Clerk of <br />Commissions and to eliminate the position of Assistant Clerk of Commissions. <br />Ordinance 2011-15 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 149 of the Administrative Code entitled <br />"Planning and Design Commission" in order to create the position of Vice Chairman, to <br />eliminate reference to the Clerk of Commissions acting as Secretary to the Board and to <br />amend the notice provision for homeowners associations. <br />7 <br />
