Council Minutes of 02-01-2011 Resolution 2011-9 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to make application for a Certified Local Government (CLG) grant administered by the Ohio Historic Preservation Office; further authorizing the Mayor to accept the CLG grant if awarded and authorizing the City to expend funds to satisfy local match requirements, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Mahoney made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Mahoney moved for adoption. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety on behalf of the City to apply for a Fiscal Year 2010 Assistance to Firefighters Grant for the purpose of creating community programs to promote fire safety; further authorizing the Mayor, if the application is granted, to enter into an agreement with the appropriate agency to accept said grant funds, and declaring an emergency. An Ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to provide for the installation and enforcement of additional "No Parking" signs on the fire hydrant side of Pheasants Walk north of the intersection of Lorain Road. Ordinance 2011-12 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 151 of the Administrative Code entitled "Board of Zoning Appeals" in order to create the position of Vice Chairman and to eliminate reference to fees. Ordinance 2011-13 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 147 of the Administrative Code entitled "Board of Building Code Appeals" in order to create the position of Vice Chairman and to eliminate the position of Secretary to the Board. Ordinance 2011-14 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 143 of the Administrative Code entitled "Boards and Commissions Generally" in order to clarify the duties of the Clerk of Commissions and to eliminate the position of Assistant Clerk of Commissions. Ordinance 2011-15 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending and re-establishing Chapter 149 of the Administrative Code entitled "Planning and Design Commission" in order to create the position of Vice Chairman, to eliminate reference to the Clerk of Commissions acting as Secretary to the Board and to amend the notice provision for homeowners associations. 7
