Council Minutes of 04-16-2013 <br />questioned why it has been year to year contract and suggested that the <br />Administration look into multi-year contract as the city has with other vendors <br />` with the possibly to save some money. Ms. Wenger said she wasn't sure and <br />would look into that possibility. Since contracting with MB3 (after terminating <br />with Silverlode), the city spent the following per contract year 2010/2011: <br />$44,637.50, 2011/2012: $46,140.00, 2012/2013: $36,030.00 (with one bill <br />remaining for the contract period). After a brief discussion Mr. Barker made a <br />motion to recommend approval of 2013-38 with suspension and it was seconded <br />by Mr. Schumann. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend aproval. The <br />meeting adjourned at 7:35p.m. This evening it was brought up in Caucus that the <br />Administration, after our meeting last week, did talk to Mr. Myers about <br />extending to a two year contract. Mr. Myers agreed and he reduced his hourly <br />rate to $145.00. His data base rate is $60.00 per month instead of $70.00 as <br />reported. It was agreed in Caucus to amend the Resolution as follows: <br />Councilman Barker made a motion to amend Resolution 2013-38 from aone-year <br />contract to a two-year contract which includes a reduction in Mr. Myers' hourly rate. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution 2013-38 amended 7-0. <br />Councilman Kearney, Vice-Chairman of the Building, Zoning & Development <br />Committee: <br />~` The BZD Committee met Tuesday, April 9 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Present were committee <br />members Barker and Kearney; Council President Jones; Council members Orlowski and <br />Schumann; Mayor Kennedy and Planning/Development Director Wenger. <br />• Discussed first was CMS13-OS Baker's Square located at 24025 Lorain Road. <br />This proposal consists of exterior building changes that will reflect the business' <br />new brand standards. Changes include painting the building a new color scheme, <br />installing new stone veneer near the entryway, new colored awnings and a new <br />wall sign. The committee voted 2-0 in favor of the improvements. <br />Councilman Kearney made a motion to approve CMS 13-OS Baker's Square located at <br />24025 Lorain Road subject to any conditions set forth by the Planning Commission. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. CMS 13-OS <br />Baker's Square approved 7-0. <br />• Discussed next was Ordinance 2013-39 which is an Ordinance designating the <br />Charles Alden Seltzer Home, located at 30095 Lorain Road, as an official North <br />Olmsted Landmark pursuant to Code Section 165.05. The committee was <br />presented with a background and pictures about this home. The committee voted <br />2-0 to recommend Ordinance 2013-39. <br />• Discussed last was Ordinance 2013-35 which is an Ordinance amending Chapter <br />1317 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted entitled <br />"Registration of Contractors", in order to incorporate State Code changes, and <br />declaring an emergency.
