Council Minutes of 04-02-2013 <br />at the Recreation Center, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of <br />' Control, to contract for the same with the successful applicant, and declaring an <br />~'~"" emergency. Councilman Brossard made a motion to suspend the rules requiring three <br />readings and formal committee review. The motion was made by Councilwoman <br />Williamson and passed unanimously. <br />Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane said he recalls Council President Jones asking how <br />much this project will cost during Caucus. Jones said the estimate was $150,000. <br />Lambert asked Council if they think it would be appropriate to amend the Ordinance to <br />cap it at $150,000 to ensure that the city does not spend a million dollars to do this? He <br />suggested an amendment to the amount. <br />Councilman Brossard moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman <br />Williamson and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2013-37 adopted 5-0. <br />Resolution 2013-38 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council President <br />Jones on behalf of Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution dispensing with the RFP process and <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one year contract with MB3 Consulting, LLC for <br />the purpose of providing economic development consulting services to the city, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2013-39 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council President <br />Jones on behalf of Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance designating the Charles Alden Seltzer <br />~'"" Home, located at 30095 Lorain Road, as an official North Olmsted Landmark pursuant to <br />~'` Code Section 165.05. <br />Resolution 2013-40 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Barker on <br />behalf of Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution in support of the preservation of tax-exempt <br />financing, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend <br />the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Barker <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2013-40 adopted 5-0. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Barker scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, April 9, 2013 <br />at 7:30 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2013-38. The Planning/Development Director is asked <br />to attend. <br />Councilman Brossard scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at <br />7:00 p.m. to discuss Ordinances 2013-35 & 2013-39, and a proposal from Baker's <br />Square. The Planning/Development Director is asked to attend. He also scheduled a <br />BZD Committee meeting for Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Nissan of <br />North Olmsted.
