Council Minutes of 12-04-2012 <br />s.~ River Court if they want. The Mayor of North Olmsted will not be running Mayor's <br />Court. <br />Pam Jankowski, Branch Manager of the North Olmsted Library announced that past <br />Manager Kacie Armstrong accepted a Director position at Euclid Public Library. She <br />assures Council that she will still be a resident of North Olmsted. Jankowski also <br />mentioned that they have come out with their Great Books for Kids gift buying guide <br />brochure. She presented brochures to Council and the Administration. <br />Jeff Sturgeon, 3092 W. 2315 asked if the city has an Ordinance regarding temporary <br />storage units and Council President Limpert replied that the city does. Sturgeon asked <br />that someone from the city notify UPS regarding trucks utilizing Clague road and not <br />stopping between Clague and Lorain. He said if you're a commercial truck that is not <br />stopping, you are not to be utilizing this road. Mayor Kennedy said the city will look into <br />this issue. Sturgeon asked that the city look at the top of Bailey and Lorain Road at the <br />building that claims they are a detail shop, not a body shop. Gareau said the city has <br />Zoning Code issues with respect to a body shop that will be looked into. He does not <br />know the extent that this facility is engaged in activities that would be considered within <br />the definition of a body shop. They will have the Building Dept. take a look at this. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2012-114 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution dispensing with a formal RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into <br />+tir a contract with Richard L. Bowen & Associates, Inc. to provide engineering consulting <br />services to the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Barker <br />made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution 2012-114 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2012-116 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance amending the rates of compensation for various administrative and legislative <br />personnel for the years 2012, 2013 and 2014 by providing for a two and one-half percent <br />(2.5%) retroactive pay increase in 2012 and a two percent (2%) pay increase in 2013 and <br />2014 for full-time positions; by further providing for a two percent (2%) pay increase in <br />2013 and 2014 for part-time positions; by additionally establishing an amended salary <br />range for positions within the Division of Mayor's Court; and otherwise restating, with <br />other various minor technical corrections as shown below, the compensation rates and <br />descriptions for various administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2012, 2013 <br />and 2014, and declaring an emergency, as amended. Councilman Barker made a motion <br />to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Kearney and passed unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for adoption.
