Council Minutes of 10-16-2012 <br />• CMS12-19 Cleveland Division of Water -This is a proposal to refurbish and <br />repaint the water tower on Dover Center Road by Giant Eagle. This is a $1.9 <br />million cost to the Cleveland Division of Water. They would like to start this <br />project in the spring of 2013. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend approval <br />of CMS12-19 Cleveland Division of Water. <br />Councilman Mahoney made a motion to approve CMS12-19 Cleveland Division of <br />Water. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. <br />CMS 12-19 Cleveland Division of Water approved. <br />Councilman Brossard made a motion to amend Ordinance 2012-76 consistent with the <br />report of the October 2, 2012 committee meeting and as presented in its form tonight. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance 2012-76 amended. <br />Councilwoman Williamson, Chairwoman of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare <br />Committee: <br />The Public Safety Committee met Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 7:27 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Williamson and Schumann; Council President Limpert; Council <br />members Barker, Brossard, Orlowski and Kearney; Mayor Kennedy, Law Director <br />Gareau and guests. <br />• Discussed was new liquor permit nos. 6019243 and 60192430005 for Tricia L. <br />Mills dba Tricia's Little Beverage and Deli located at 5600 Columbia Road. Lt. <br />Cox of the police dept. found no issues with this applicant. The committee voted <br />2-0 to not object to the liquor permits. <br />Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to not object to the issuance of liquor permit <br />nos. 6019243 and 60192430005 Tricia's Little Beverage and Deli. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Liquor permits approved. <br />• Discussed next was new liquor permit no. 8049955 for Shaw Concepts located at <br />4954 Great Northern Mall. Lt. Cox of the police dept. found no issues with this <br />applicant. The committee voted 2-0 to not object to the liquor permit. <br />Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to not object to the issuance of liquor permit <br />no. 8049955 for Shaw Concepts located at 4954 Great Northern Mall. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Liquor permit approved. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Don Pangrac, 23470 Sharon Drive said there are eight unlit street lights between Clague <br />Road and Dover Center Road. The storm drain at the corner of Bentley and Lorain has <br />settled at least four inches below grade or was installed that way. He requested the city <br />look into this to avoid accidents. Mayor Kennedy said he would look into both of these <br />issues. Councilman Orlowski requested that the Safety/Service Director Thomas look <br />into this as he had informed the city about this issue in the past, before Director Thomas <br />was hired. Pangrac said there is also a light out on the corner of 231 and Maple Ridge. <br />Director Thomas said the second shift service dept. has retrieved all of the six digit pole <br />3 <br />
