MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />"" SEPTEMBER 18, 2012 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert; Council Members Barker, Brossard, <br />Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Schumann, Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety and Service Thomas and <br />Director of Planning and Development Wenger <br />Absent: Director of Human Resources Farver <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The special Council meeting minutes of June 25 and August 14, 2012 were approved as <br />written. <br />~"'' The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />'~` this evening: Second Reading -Ordinance 2012-73, Ordinance 2012-75 and Resolution <br />2012-78; First Reading -Resolutions 2012-79 and 2012-83 <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• Bids were received for the North Olmsted Park Storm Water Demonstration <br />Project. The project involves the installation of permeable pavers and a rain <br />garden near the basketball courts. The contract was awarded to Platform Cement, <br />who will begin work next month. <br />• Two new staff members will be starting at the Recreation Center on October 1, <br />2012. There is a Recreation Commission meeting scheduled for October 1 as <br />well. <br />• In the last month, the storm crew in the Service Dept. has completed two major <br />backyard projects with the third one being almost complete. On Woodpark Lane, <br />the crew installed 300 feet of pipe; 450 pipe on Randall Drive. The crew is <br />currently on Coe Avenue, and 650 feet of pipe has already been installed. These <br />specific projects were a direct result of meetings with residents in these <br />neighborhoods. <br />• The Mayor's SK Walk/Run is scheduled for Sunday, September 23, 2012. All <br />proceeds will go to scholarships for graduating North Olmsted senior residents. <br /> <br />
