MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />,,,, OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SEPTEMBER 4, 2012 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert; Council Members Barker, Brossard, <br />Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Schumann, Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety and .Service Thomas, Director <br />of Planning and Development Wenger, and Director of Human Resources <br />Farver <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The Council meeting minutes of August 7, 2012 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading -Ordinance 2012-57 and Resolution 2012-71 <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• The city is currently soliciting Statements of Qualifications for engineering firms <br />to perform the design work for the citywide signal system project. Submissions <br />are due in mid-September. <br />• The City is contracting with Brilliant Electric Sign Co. for the gateway sign <br />project. Field work is underway with completion anticipated by the end of the <br />year. The project is anticipated to come in under budget. <br />• Outdoor pool season ended on Saturday with the first ever Dog Splash event. <br />Thirty one dogs participated and everyone had a great time. The outdoor pool is <br />closed and the indoor pool fall schedule started today. Pool supervisor <br />applications are being accepted until Friday. Clean up from the summer in all <br />areas is underway to get ready for the fall. Football and cheerleading are going <br />well. Skating programs begin full force next week. <br />• Three new Auxiliary Officers have been hired. There were no major problems <br />during Homecoming weekend. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• The city reached an agreement with the Fraternal Order of Police. He will <br />forward a copy of the completed contract as soon as it's completed. The Human <br />
