MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />AUGUST 21, 2012 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert; Council Members Barker, Brossard, <br />Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Schumann <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Clerk of Council Gallo, <br />Director of Planning and Development Wenger, and Director of Human <br />Resources Farver <br />Absent: Council Member Williamson <br />Director of Finance Copfer <br />Director of Safety and Service Thomas <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The Council meeting minutes of June 19, 2012 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading -Resolutions 2012-61, 2012-62 & 2012-63; Ordinances <br />2012-64, 2012-66 & 2012-68. <br />Councilman Schumann made a motion to appoint Councilman Kearney to the CDBG <br />Citizens Advisory Committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney appointed to the CDBG Citizens Advisory <br />Committee. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• The North Olmsted Homecoming is this weekend. The City's Tent Event will be <br />held Friday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. <br />• The Recreation Center is cleaning up after the end of summer programs and <br />getting ready for fall. They will be doing a few minor repairs to the indoor pool, <br />and it will close at the end of the day on August 25 and reopen on Tuesday, <br />September 4. The entire building will be closed Sunday, September 2 and <br />Monday, September 3 for the holiday. The city's Aquatics Supervisor has <br />resigned, and her last day will be Friday, August 24. <br />• The new rain shelter at Springvale is completed and has been put to use a few <br />times.
