MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AUGUST 21, 2012 Present: President of Council Limpert; Council Members Barker, Brossard, Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Schumann Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Planning and Development Wenger, and Director of Human Resources Farver Absent: Council Member Williamson Director of Finance Copfer Director of Safety and Service Thomas President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council meeting minutes of June 19, 2012 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules this evening: Second Reading -Resolutions 2012-61, 2012-62 & 2012-63; Ordinances 2012-64, 2012-66 & 2012-68. Councilman Schumann made a motion to appoint Councilman Kearney to the CDBG Citizens Advisory Committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Kearney appointed to the CDBG Citizens Advisory Committee. REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • The North Olmsted Homecoming is this weekend. The City's Tent Event will be held Friday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. • The Recreation Center is cleaning up after the end of summer programs and getting ready for fall. They will be doing a few minor repairs to the indoor pool, and it will close at the end of the day on August 25 and reopen on Tuesday, September 4. The entire building will be closed Sunday, September 2 and Monday, September 3 for the holiday. The city's Aquatics Supervisor has resigned, and her last day will be Friday, August 24. • The new rain shelter at Springvale is completed and has been put to use a few times.
