Council Minutes of 08-07-12 <br />Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey Lane said he does not recall North Olmsted ever extending <br />their jail. He told a story about when he saw two North Olmsted police officers on the <br />shoreway headed east because the city was housing prisoners over in Euclid. North <br />Olmsted had a contract with Euclid for housing prisoners. Lambert brought up the cost <br />of these two officers traveling 60 miles round trip. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2012-57 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2006-94 to amend the price ranges and to otherwise <br />restate the program fees for use of Park and Recreation facilities. <br />Resolution 2012-61 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Pine Ridge <br />Homeowners Association and Joseph Coleman granting a license to construct a <br />permanent Pine Ridge Development sign in the public right of way at 4387 Dover Center <br />Road in the City of North Olmsted. <br />Resolution 2012-62 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to advertise for bids <br />for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the North Olmsted Park <br />Stormwater Demonstration Project, as detailed in the specifications on file in the <br />Engineering Department, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of <br />Control to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Resolution 2012-63 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Planning and Development to solicit Statements of <br />Qualifications from ODOT pre-qualified firms to serve as design engineer for the North <br />Olmsted Signal System Project; further authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement <br />with the firm selected in the RFQ process, after approval by the Board of Control, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2012-64 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Barker. <br />An Ordinance amending Section 1367.11 of Chapter 1367 (Satellite Dish Receiving <br />Stations) of the Building Code, entitled "No Permit or Fee Required for Certain Types of <br />Satellite Dish Antennae," in order to establish safety restrictions and to regulate the <br />location of direct broadcast satellites. <br />Resolution 2012-65 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br />construction of improvements to the Waste Water Treatment Collection System, as <br />detailed in specifications on file in the Service Department; and further authorizing the <br />Mayor, upon approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest <br />and best bidder, and declaring an emergency.
