MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />~y OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />~«: <br />JUNE 5, 2012 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert; Council Members Kearney, Mahoney, <br />Orlowski, Schumann, Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety and Service Thomas, Director <br />of Planning and Development Wenger, and Director of Human Resources <br />Farver <br />Absent: Council members Barker and Brossard <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The Council meeting minutes of May 15, 2012 were approved as written. <br />~~ The following legislation will be considered for passage under the rules this evening: <br />Second Reading -Ordinance 2012-44, Resolutions 2012-45 & 2012-46; First Reading - <br />Resolutions 2012-50 & 2012-52. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• Springvale earned $133,800 during the month of May 2012. This exceeded the <br />projection of $100,000. Ballroom revenue also exceeded projections and ended <br />up at $199,000. There are various course improvements scheduled for this <br />summer. <br />• Honorary Scout Officials were in attendance for All Scouts Weekend. The Mayor <br />presented Proclamations to Mr. and Mrs. Scouting. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• The matter of Megan Frenz v. Springvale Golf Course and Ballroom has been <br />fully briefed and is in the Court of Appeals and oral argument has taken place <br />recently. The City is awaiting a ruling from the Appellate District. <br />• In the case of The State ex. rel. James Connell et. al. v. City of North Olmsted et. <br />al., a massive exchange of documents is proceeding as planned. There has been a <br />great deal of cooperation from the various administrative departments in the City <br />of North Olmsted, and everybody has done a fine job responding to the request <br /> <br />
