MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL "`~' OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ~` MAY 1, 2012 Present: President of Council Limpert; Council Members Barker, Brossard, Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Schumann, Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety and Service Thomas, Director of Planning and Development Wenger, and Director of Human Resources Farver President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council meeting minutes of March 20, April 3 and April 17, 2012 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under the rules this evening: ~"`` First Reading -Ordinance 2012-43. ,: REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • Catholic Charities was successful in their application to the Ohio Housing Finance Agency for funding towards a new senior housing facility proposed for the St. Richards campus. The Administration will be working closely with Catholic Charities in the next couple of weeks as they submit plans for development of the site. The facility is targeted for completion by the end of 2013. • The Bureau of Workers Compensation conducted their annual audit of the City's self-insured program. The audit was ranked excellent. • Mother's Day brunch is Sunday, May 13, 2012. The information is posted on the City's website and the cable channel. Director of Law Gareau: • The city's property purchase of 3827 Dover Center Road for the sanitary sewer collection system improvements closed today. • Ordinance 2012-43 is being considered this evening. The labor contract negotiation process has been in effect since last fall with the Fraternal Order of
