Council Minutes of 04-03-2012 <br />• Discussed was CMS 12-07 North Olmsted Foundation, Inc. -This consists of a <br />.~ <br />conditional use permit by the Boy Scouts organization for meeting space, <br />recreation and other activities, which was brought forth by the North Olmsted <br />Foundation. The property is zoned single family residence, but within that <br />district, uses permitted by a conditional use include government, civic, <br />educational and welfare/recreational uses. The only change to the property would <br />be a gravel/multi-use area for the Scout's activities. The committee voted 3-0 to <br />recommend approval of CMS 12-07 North Olmsted Foundation, Inc. <br />Councilman Mahoney made a motion to recommend approval of CMS 12-07 North <br />Olmsted Foundation, Inc. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed <br />unanimously. CMS 12-07 North Olmsted Foundation, Inc. approved. <br />• Discussed next was CMS 12-OS Mother Hubbard's Daycare located at 4991 Dover <br />Center Road -This also is for a conditional use permit for a daycare center to be <br />located in a general retail district. The Planning Commission recommended the <br />play area be entirely fenced, and bushes planted along Dover Center Road near <br />the ingress and egress of the site should be removed and replaced with low <br />growing junipers to avoid obstruction for drivers. The committee voted 3-0 to <br />recommend approval of CMS 12-OS Mother Hubbard's Daycare. <br />Councilman Mahoney made a motion to recommend approval of CMS 12-OS Mother <br />Hubbard's Daycare located at 4991 Dover Center Road subject to the conditions set forth <br />by the Planning and Design Commission. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />y~ Barker and passed unanimously. CMS 12-OS Mother Hubbard's Daycare approved. <br />• Discussed last was CMS 12-06 AT&T -this proposal consists of adding an orange <br />awning to the AT&T tenant space that is recently renovated in the First Federal of <br />Lakewood Plaza on Lorain Road. The proposal did not receive the <br />recommendation of Planning and Development Director Wenger. The Planning <br />and Design Commission felt that the awning did not match the current <br />architectural view of the plaza and was out of character, so to speak. The <br />Planning and Design Commission voted 0-5 to approve the proposal. The <br />committee voted 3-0 to not recommend approval of CMS12-06 AT&T. <br />Councilman Mahoney made a motion to approve CMS 12-06 AT&T. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Kearney. Motion fails 0-7.
