~, MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JANUARY 17, 2012 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert; Council Members Barker, Brossard, <br />Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Planning and Development Wenger, <br />Director of Safety and Service Thomas, and Director of Human Resources <br />Farver <br />Absent: Council Member Schumann <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.rn. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Councilman Orlowski made a motion to remove Ordinance 2012-5 from the agenda to <br />hold in committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Brossard and passed <br />..~, <br />unanimously. Ordinance 2012-5 removed from the agenda and held in committee. <br />~~; <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of January 3, 2012 were approved as written. <br />No legislation will be passed under suspension of the rules this evening. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• The Burns Road Culvert Replacement project is out to bid. The bid opening is <br />scheduled for January 31, 2012. <br />• Representatives from NOACA will be making a presentation to the Planning and <br />Design Commission on January 25, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. regarding two city <br />intersections - Lorain/Brookpark and Lorain/Butternut/Porter. This is the <br />conclusion of the grant-funded study in which NOACA staff looked at alternative <br />scenarios for improving traffic safety and efficiency in those areas. <br />• The kick-off meeting for the 2012 Olmsted Festival of the Arts will be held on <br />Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the North Olmsted Senior Center. <br />• Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. is the State of the City address at the <br />Radisson Inn and is hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.
