Council Minutes of 01-17-2012 <br />,v Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. County Executive Ed Fitzgerald will <br />;~,,. be at the North Olmsted Library to host a Town Hall meeting. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• He requested a moment of silence in honor of Harry Crider who passed away. <br />• The Law Dept. will be participating in Planning/Development Director Wenger's <br />initiative to streamline aspects of the property maintenance code as it relates to <br />enforcement. <br />• In the matter of Eugene Dzambasow vs. Brian Bielozer, et al, discovery is <br />proceeding. Depositions of officers, the former Police Chief and the Plaintiff are <br />currently being scheduled. <br />• He sent out notices and offers for easements after appraisals to property owners <br />affected by the Burns Road Culvert project as well as the collections system work <br />on Beech Lane. <br />• Two property maintenance issues were referred to the Law Dept. for prosecution. <br />One is a commercial contractor that walked off the job and the other is a Fannie <br />Mae property that will likely require condemnation inspection. <br />• On January 5, 201 Z, the Board of Zoning Appeals granted reconsideration and <br />additionally approved the parking variance for Lucky Break Cafe on Brookpark <br />Road Ext. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />• The Finance Dept. is busy closing the year out and preparing a budget with the <br />Administration. They will meet their deadline of the first meeting in Februazy for <br />budget presentations. She has preliminary year-end numbers that will be <br />distributed later in the week. <br />• They approved Ciuni & Panichi as the auditors for the GAAP Conversion <br />provider. There is no conflict of interest. <br />Council President Limpert, Chairman of the Committee of the Whole: <br />The Committee of the Whole met Tuesday, January 10, 2012 6:45 p.m. Present was all <br />of Council. <br />• Discussed was the organization of council. The only changes made from the year <br />2011. Pursuant to Council Rule No. 13 which states that no Council member can <br />hold a chairmanship for more than four years, the committee recommended 6-1 <br />that Larry Orlowski as the Intra-Governmental Committee Chairman and Paul <br />Schumann as the Environmental Control Committee Chairman since Orlowski <br />cannot exceed four years as Chairman of the Environmental Control Committee. <br />Councilman Kearney made a motion to accept all nominations to standing committees of <br />Council. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney. Roli Call: Kearney, yes; <br />rte. <br />2 <br />
