Council Minutes of 01-17-2012 Kennedy said a lot of that is cleaning up language in the old ordinances that didn't make sense. Sturgeon also suggested televising Council meetings for the public. LEGISLATION Resolution 2012-6 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase a "Vactor Model 2115" Combination Sewer Vacuum & High Pressure Rodder Truck and equipment, at a final cost of $277,500.00, all through the State purchase program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to effectuate such purchase, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2012-7 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one year contract with Cuyahoga County/The Cuyahoga County Engineer for the purpose of providing inspection services for bridges and culverts. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Councilman Barker scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for January 24, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss 2012-6. The Mayor, Finance Director and Safety/Service Director are asked to attend. Councilman Brossard scheduled a Streets & Transportation Committee meeting for January 24, 2012 at 7:15 p.m. to discuss 2012-7. The Safety/Service Director and Planning/Development Director are asked to attend. Councilwoman Williamson scheduled a Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee meeting for January 24, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss liquor permits. The Mayor or his designee are asked to attend. Councilman Barker made a motion to excuse the absence of Councilman Schumann. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Councilman Schumann excused.
