Council Minutes of 01-17-2012 <br />Kennedy said a lot of that is cleaning up language in the old ordinances that didn't make <br />sense. Sturgeon also suggested televising Council meetings for the public. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2012-6 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase a "Vactor Model 2115" Combination <br />Sewer Vacuum & High Pressure Rodder Truck and equipment, at a final cost of <br />$277,500.00, all through the State purchase program; and further authorizing the Mayor <br />to execute all documents necessary to effectuate such purchase, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Resolution 2012-7 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution dispensing with the RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one <br />year contract with Cuyahoga County/The Cuyahoga County Engineer for the purpose of <br />providing inspection services for bridges and culverts. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Barker scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for January 24, 2012 at 7:00 <br />p.m. to discuss 2012-6. The Mayor, Finance Director and Safety/Service Director are <br />asked to attend. <br />Councilman Brossard scheduled a Streets & Transportation Committee meeting for <br />January 24, 2012 at 7:15 p.m. to discuss 2012-7. The Safety/Service Director and <br />Planning/Development Director are asked to attend. <br />Councilwoman Williamson scheduled a Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee <br />meeting for January 24, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss liquor permits. The Mayor or his <br />designee are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Barker made a motion to excuse the absence of Councilman Schumann.
