Council Minutes of 7/6/93 <br />,. Mr. Lind, Chairperson of the Finance Committee, reported: 1) The ccxsmi.ttee met <br />on July 1 axed in attendance were committee members Leonard, Saringer, Lind.; Mayor <br />Boyle; Finance Director Burns;, PUP Commissioner White; Councilman Musial; Service <br />Director Bohlmarm. Agenda items were as follows: <br />a. Resolution 93-89 autt~rizing the advertisement for bids for data processing <br />equipment for the city. Estimated casts are $275,000; however, this will <br />probably be substantially reduced through tip bidding process. The equipment <br />will include 80 personal c tars with associated hardware acid software. We <br />will have our o~an in-hose training. The project will be completed in a series <br />of stages, which will help the cash flaw. We will loan into the possibility of a <br />State sponsored cooperative bidding process. The wiring and car~ections far each <br />of the phases will be dare by a different company. The committee recommended <br />approval. <br />b. Resolution 93-82 autix~rizing the advertisement of bids for central dispatch <br />comnnaiications equipment. 9:~eity-five tl~usard dollars has been appropriated for <br />the purchase of this equipment. The recaimmendations of the Fire Department <br />committee were accepted. The Finance Committee recommended approval of the <br />legislation. <br />Mrs. Babas, Chairperson of the Legislative Committee, reported: 1) Tl~e cc~mittee <br />met prior to this evening's meeting to discuss Ordinance 93-93. This ordinance <br />provides for the submission to the electors of an a~mendmexit to Article VII <br />Section 2 (e) of the Charter which would provide for an exception far mandatory <br />referral to electors when zoning for senior residence use. The committee <br />recommended approval. <br />No Audience Participation <br />LEGISLATION <br />rc~l~ce No. 93-77 introduced by Mayor Boyle ou behalf of himself and Mr. Lind <br />was given its third reading. An ordinance authorizing atxi directing. the Mayor of <br />the City of North Olmsted to enter into an agreement with Adache-Curti-Lynn <br />Associates to provide engineering services for paving anti drainage irovements <br />for the Oxford Oval Streets, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Lind moved for <br />adoption; second by Mrs. Saringer; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 93-77 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 93-78 introduced by Mayor Boyle on behalf of himself and Mr. Lixid <br />was given its third reading. An ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor of <br />the City of North Olmsted to enter into an agreement with Elewslci & Associates, <br />Inc., to provide engineering services for paving and drainage improvements for <br />Alexander Road and Ambour Drive, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Lind moved for <br />adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 93-7$ <br />adopted. <br /> <br />4 <br />
